INT. CABIN NIGHT: A woman enters, calling out for her friends. She moves cautiously from room to room but finds them empty. She arrives at the back room and throwing open the door her flashlight lands on the bodies of her friends. She stifles a scream and turns to run, but behind her is a large masked man wielding an axe! She screams as she is murdered!

The masked man leaves, walking through the woods.

CUT TO: a flat straight-forward tv set of a camp in the woods. We’ve gone from watching a movie to a tv show. After an exhausting night of murder, The Host slinks into view. He cracks a beer from his cooler, sits in his chair, selects a VHS and introduces tonight’s movie.

THE HEAD

An enshrined decomposing severed head and trophy of The Host’s first kill. The Head comes to life and becomes The Host’s best friend and sidekick. Despite his fate The Head holds no grudges and has a good sense of humor about it. He just wants to watch movies, party and have a good time.

  1. COLD OPEN Every episode starts with a chilling cinematic murder by The Host. Afterwards he trudges back to the campground.

  2. INTRO Upon returning to his homebase, The Host cracks a beer, wakes up The Head and introduces tonights slasher flick.

SEGMENTS

LORE OF THE GORE The Host & The Head talk about the people who made the movie and where you might recognize them. Re: Production History

INTERVIEWING LEGENDS The Host & The Head interview legendary directors, special effects designers, actors and artists who “just happen” to wander onto the set (or have been kidnapped and chained by the Host earlier). Interviews always end with The Host murdering them or with them murdering The Host and running away. After the commercials The Host always rises (like Michael Myers)!

HOW TO BLOOD! The Host & The Head (and occasional special guest) show a DIY version of an effect from tonight’s movie to show how the magic is made and to celebrate the artistry.

ON LOCATION The Host visits horror conventions and sets (etc), hobnobbing with fans and celebrities alike.

CAMP MAIL BAG  The Host and the Head each pick letters to read and respond to from the adoring fans of the horror community.
